Description:

Additional Notes: 
Habitat: Parasitic, then saprotrophic on living and dead wood of deciduous and coniferous trees and shrubs, often with a preference for acidic soils. Notes: Apparently widespread and may be locally common, but previously not distinguished from A. mellea. The ‘commonest Armillaria in Scotland after A. gallica' fide Watling (pers. comm.). Ref: BC
