Place Description:
Situated in a tranquil valley in the Chilterns Warburg reserve is a gem of a reserve, and the trust's premier reserve, with over 2000 species of plant, animal and fungi recorded. It's own micro climate means frosts have been recorded in the valley bottom most months of the year.
A large range of habitats supporting many rare and endangered species. A truly amazing place.
Some footpaths are not suitable for wheelchairs or those with mobility problems but the visitor centre and hides are accessible.

Wildlife Description:
Over 450 of plant including 15 species of orchid. 900 species of fungi. Over 30 species of butterfly and 400 species of moth. Around 62 species of bird known to nest on the reserve and encounters with red kite are almost guaranteed.
Directions:
4 miles north-east of Henley-on-Thames, off the B480 just north of Middle Assendon take 2nd left and follow the narrow lane to the end of the valley.
Best Time to Visit:
All year. Parking can be tight on weekends and bank holidays
