Description: 

A bulb, the deep blue bell-shaped flowers normally in clusters of between 4 and 16 on each stem; the leaves are long and narrow.

Distribution: 

Throughout Wales, England and Scotland, though less distribution in Ireland and absent from Orkney and Shetland.

Habitat: 

Often found in very dense numbers in shaded woods, the Bluebell may also been seen on sea-cliffs and banks, and hedges

Status: 

Very common.

Did You Know?: 

Occasionally pink or white variations of the Bluebell may be found. The flowers have a strong scent which is particularly apparent when found in larger numbers, for example in a woodland setting.
