Description: 

Bermuda Buttercup is a perennial herb that forms large colonies that reproduce by bulbs. It has clover like leaves of three lobes and the yellow flowers, which have five petals are borne on long thin stems from March till June.

Distribution: 

This plant is a native of South Africa and is frost tender but it has managed to naturalise itself in the south of England.

Habitat: 

It grows in sunny sites, preferably in light, sandy or loamy well drained soil. It cannot grow in shade.

Uses: 

The leaves can be eaten raw in salads.
