Scaeve pyrastri is the only black and white one I know of.

Hi Steve.
I think my camera skill need a lot of improvement as this was the best photo I got at the time but the markings were yellow!
Now I look at the photo again though, they do look white ! Oops.
It's been Id'd on the forum as a Metasyrphus luniger.
I'm just going to put another on here for an id that looks the same as this one but is a bit clearer this time.
