I am an absolute beginner so am asking for identification of a mushroom which has appeared in an old oak planter in old compost which has been used for more than a year. Although some seeds have been sown, the predominant vegetation is weeds! The funghi shown is pure white and the largest of the four which have appeared is about 4" (10cm) in diameter. I suspect that the weed growing through these two mushrooms is what I call 'Sow Thistle'. Any advice would be very welcome! TIA
