If the colour is blue, then yes it does look like Entoloma bloxamii. Entoloma elodes is grey and otherwise very similar. Entoloma nitidum is blue but more slender and less robust.

Thanks Leif - I'd decided against Entoloma elodes partly on the basis of the blue colour which was more apparent in the live specimen than it is in the photo but also in terms of habitat. E.elodes and E.nitidum were said to occur in acid habitats (sphagnum bogs/molinia grasslands and coniferous woodland respectively) whereas this was in calcareous grassland.
