Description

This moth is a mid-brown colour with a diffuse pale streak but the most noticeable feature are two dark crosslines, the outermost one being sharply elbowed.

Distribution

A common moth only being absent from the far north of the U.K.

Habitat

Found in grassland and especially grassy areas on sand dunes.

Diet

Small grass species.
